There are several reasons to get poor delivery results (too much bounced or too much going to spam folder):
– Your SMTP account on Knews preferences is bad configured
– Your mailserver have some configuration issue
– You’re blacklisted
– Your mailserver IP is blacklisted
The best way to test it are build a white newsletter and send it through your configurated SMTP in the same way as newsletters to real mailserver. Leaving Spam Assassin analyze it and watch the results.

Spam Assassin will pass a few rules, and everyone can flag your email with some extra bad punctuation (positive value) or good punctuation (negative value). At the end, the global value will decide if the email is delivered or not. The thereshold will be configured by user or his mailserver service. Start from 2-3 (tolerant, low false positives), 5 (normal), 7-8 (exhaustive, high false positives). In any case, you can’t influence in your subscribers thereshold. You should make sure to get the lowest global value.
After checking your SMTP submission gets low punctuation on real anti-spam filter, you should test your newsletters also. This is a Knews Pro only feature. There is some reasons to get bad punctuation on newslettering:
– Use similar colors on text and background
– Too big text
– Some keywords (like drugs, sex drugs, etc)
– Too images and few text
– And much more.

The global result score rise from -2.899 (really good) to 0.031: worse result, however one single bad word not ruin your delivery results on a well configured and not blacklisted email account.
